Do all maxes have controls for unlocking doors etc.., I just got a 99 5 speed gxe with no control? how could i find out or get a control? thanks

 

What you're probably referring to is the remote keyless entry (RKE), and that's part of the security & convienence pkg. on GXE and SE, but on GXE that requires the auto. tranny. Your GXE is a 5-speed so it doesn't have the previously mentioned pkg., but I'm assuming it is doable to get a remote for a '95-'99 Max w/o the security/convienence pkg., just get one off Ebay, much cheaper than what the dealer charges and program it, If you're having trouble, anyone here on the .org is willing to help out. I'm assuming that max's w/o the S&C pkg. are likely to have the reciever already installed and can allow a RKE to lock/unlock the doors. Let us know how it goes
