Tokico Premium Performance Shocks

I ran Tokico's w/H&Rs and they rode like crap...there was a lot of unecessary shaking/vibrating. Since then I have switched to KYB AGXs and the difference is amazing. Car rides great and I have no complaints...Don't waste your money on Tokico's...they are crap

The AGX are a direct bolt in, front & rear and they are easy to adjust.
For Konis, you must disassemble the OEM front strut and fit the Koni insert into it. The rears bolt in like OEM, but they must be removed for any adjustments to be made. Both of these factors make Konis more trouble than they are worth.

I had Tokico Blues, and they...blew. Well they were not very stiff, and the rear passenger-side blew out once I started autocrossing.
They are basically like the GR2's, but IMO not as durable, and not good with lowering springs because the dampening isn't sufficient to support a higher spring rate.

I have heard that the front tokico struts are good... but the rears aren't stiff enough. Thats why I ordered Tokico in front and GR2's in back.... I am getting them put on in the next week or 2.... ill keep you guys posted.

Have you driven a car with Eibach/AGX? You may not want to because you will hate your Toks after that...

I hope people did not think I was saying tok Blue's are superior to AGX, Illuminas, or even GR2's. But they are still going strong for me.

I never driven one with Eibach and AGXs. Besides my stick 97 SE has 120K miles on the original shocks so I'm guessing that anything will be an improvement. I'm also not looking to wring out every last bit of handling from the car but just to a bit of improvement over what I have without having a kidney jarring ride.

Kind of beside the point, but if anyone DOES want the Blue Tokicos I have a set that were never installed on my car. I changed my mind and decided to go with the AGX's instead (getting installed next week baby!).
