Quieting the Exhaust?

I have a Greddy SP catback, and due to some new dumb *** inspection laws my car is now unable to pass inspection, the emmisiones are normal, but the damn exhaust is "too loud", basically here in Maine the exhaust cann't be aftermarket, it has to LOOK and SOUND like stock for it to pass. I can squeeze by on the look part, but sound I can't. Is there an easy way I can quiet the exhaust down for the inspection? or would it be possible to hook stock muffler up to the greddy B pipe with no problems? I don't even think the greddy is even loud, at idle or low or high rpm's high rpms the cai drowns out any/all exhaust noise. Any thoughts would be great, thanks!

Matt

There is usually a decibel limit associated with those kinds of laws. Make sure they actually test how loud your car is. Don't let the tech guy just tell you it sounds too loud.

A stock rear section should hook directly to your b-pipe.

Iv'e heard the sp and it is very quiet. But try to see if you could rig in a silecer from another muffler. I took my boys silencer and suprisingly its fits, i just had to drill a small hole. But if you dont want to do this put on the rear section from a stock exhaust, swap it with someone.
