Strut Tower Bearing

Has anyone had to get one of these mine **** the bed. I had the left spring in backwards for about 2 days before i could get around to changing it. The nissan dealer around me wants $34 for the thing i was a little astounded for just that little bearing. I was goin to call courtesy but i need it here within the next few days cause i'm autoX soon and it's makin a god awful noise in the left front. If anyone has replaced how much did you pay for yours? That price sounds about right

My Nissan dealer quoted me $38 list for each thin little plastic bearing! I decided they didn't need replacing when I had the springs removed for strut replacement.

Here it is for $27.67.... your choice of SE or GXE

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...D=1&siteid=722

Here's the main site...

http://www.nissan-auto-parts-dealer.com/

They sell pretty much ANY genuine Nissan part at wholesale prices. I've used them before with good results. Shipping is reasonable as well. About all parts can be found and priced from their webpage.

Good Luck!

Thanks, but

that link seems to have gotten chopped up and doesn't work. And when I try to search for "strut bearing" it comes up emptyhanded. Any ideas? I'm curious how my "trusted" local dealer came up with $38 :^)

I'm sorry, I told you the price for the STRUT MOUNTS. (I purchased the SE versions, but both are the same price) I've got the bearings sitting right in front of me, along with my recipt dated 12/27/02, the bearings are part# 54325-5V000, and cost $24.54 each.

If you type that part number in the 'OEM part number' search it works just fine. Genuine OEM Nissan oil filters cost $4.48 each, and come in shrink wrapped plastic inside their Nissan boxes. I purchased a dozen of them, along with both strut mounts and both strut bearings. Total shipping was only $7.50

If you want to call, you can your order over a toll free phone line. 1-877-781-8429

They are located in Colorado, and open from 8-5:30 M-F

Good Luck!
