The link I showed in this thread for Gen 3's is a picture of a CIVIC Gen 3's
The site states that there are Gen 3's for a 95-96 Max. those are not them on the pic.
Just to clairfy that because another thread was started because i found that pic and people assume that is a Max, it is not.

 

Those tails are just the normal 97-99 red/clears. You can convert a 95/96 to a 97-99 rear end but you must replace trunk lid, bumper, and all four tail assemblies. That mod is very easy to do!

 

NE1 heard anything else about the gen 3's?

 

I have not seen pictures, but only have heard of the Gen 3's, i dont trust where I can get them from, so i decided to go for the TYC ones. check them out

Those will enter Canada in about 1 week and i will pick them up that day. $300 CDN. I hear TYC send a Guarantee Card that they wont leak and something to that affect. Check them out. About the Gen 3's, i have only been told that they will cost $399 CDN, but have seen no pictures.

250.00 will buy you a Y-pipe and a home made intake which will actually be a mod because it will change the aspects of the cars purpose while not getting laughed at.

Get the Gen2 tail lights- gunmetals better, the l.e.d.'s look great during the day and awsome @ nite- much much brighter than other cars altezzas at nite and day, they also look good while not braking..... pricy though,$189

 

That would buy you a Y-pipe and have enough money to make an intake. Neither of these would be big changes to your car or it's reliablity. With these mods you would be able to absolutly destroy a stock maxima (I raced one with these mods and he asked if I had a turbo ) and it would actually change your car rather than making it an object of laughter, also you would own most front wheel drives. Please go the route of purposefull modifications if your intent is to modify your car so that it is not like others, that would entail improving it's purpose which is acceleration, braking and handling. If you want others to look at your car with respect making it fast with these simple and inexpensive bolt ons will do it much more so than if you put somthing on that is regarded with about as much respect as chrome fender skirts. Looks with things like big wings and body kits should complement your performance, a skyline is an awesome car that everyone drools over, is it because of the body kit, or huge wing? It is because people know it is fast, a skyline would be laughed at and discontinued if it had a sentra motor so making a car look different is really not going to make it cool, make it faster than everyone elses stock maxima.

If you only want looks at least keep it clean
Shave the rear emblems it is free
get some nice conservative rims that are clean enough that they could be looked at as stock (the 18inch wheels on a old 740 are a good example, conservative but with an aftermarket flair)
a good suspension set up would also make your car look great while clean and not like your trying to hard.
