It's the LED nozzles, the max has a self-terminating system where if it feels it's too ricey, it will self-inflict damage to itself. It's actually a from of automotive suicide. Your car is crying out for help.

But seriously, when you say side markers, do you mean the corner lights (next to the headlights) or the lights that are part of the turn signal assembly (the ones that come on when you turn your parking lights on)?

Any suggestions.....first, turn off the caps lock (hahah). Then, check the fuses for the lights, and if it's blown, replace it. But before you turn the lights back on, check the connection where the wires for the nozzles meet the wires for the sidemarkers. That is most likely the problem. Have you recently wired them up? Or have the nozzles been there for a while?

Replace the fuse, and unhook the nozzle wires from the side marker wires. Now test it. Everything ok? There's your problem. Either tap it into a different wire, or (if you want to be super safe) wire it to the battery, and then to a switch inside the cabin.

At first I thought that you were serious about that!

Chech fuses and look for potential shorts. Did you insulate all of your splices?
