But on the diagram it shows the thing that you push for the release to be on top. That makes the blank wire on the bottom right. Mine is not like that. The blank is on another side. Which harness do I need to tie into of the two and which wires are what? Any colors ?

u are correct...just that i was too lazy to make that change...the picture u see is actually looking at the auto tranny...from auto tranny it would be terminal 3 and 5 when u put it on reverse...so if u reverse it and look at the car...it in turn would be terminal 6 and 7...ok..looking at the harness from the car...tap into the top row first terminal from ur rite...then tap into the 2nd terminal from ur rite...in other words...it's on the opposite end of the terminal not being used...

You wouldnt happen to know the colors would you. Because I have two plugins that have 7 spots in them that are not being used from the auto.

then it's trouble shooting time...put ur 5spd in reverse...then take an vom and check continuity w/ the two terminal from the tranny...if u get continuity then ur park/neutral switch is good from the tranny...the other step is to get a piece of wire...short out the two terminal from the car's harness..ur reverse light should light up...if it doesn't...then 4 possible trouble...wrong terminal...car harness trouble...or bulbs are no good...possible fuse...
