Yellow fog woes

SIGH! So I THOUGHT the Hella Yellow Stars I had before were the Korean ones, since they were so crappy and blew constantly. Apparently I was wrong, however, because I just ordered 6 of them off the net and they ARE NOT EVEN REMOTELY YELLOW. This is killing me. I was willing to live with the bulbs blowing every few months (they're cheap), but now I can't even have them be yellow.

So what am I going to do? I hear people talking about painting them, but one of my friends told me his boy did this and it was REAL ghetto and chipped off immediately. I do need a new drivers-side fog light, and I'm probably going to get a set of them, so I can experiment, but are there any options other than painting the exterior or aftermarket fogs? I like the fit of the stock ones...I'd really rather not get aftermarket ones.

P.S. - I've tried the PIAA ION Crystals...totally ricey and just utter crap. Why is it so insane that people want their fogs to be the color they're SUPPOSED to be?

Where did you buy your yellow stars from?

I don't have them but was wondering. How are the PIAA ION crystals ricey? Are they too yellow, not yellow enough, what?

They're not yellow enough and they tend to change colors as you pass by. There's even a bluish tint at some angles.

@Zumble : That's where I used to get mine, but I don't see the H3's on there any more. I would steer clear of them when they finally blow though...the yellow stars are no good anymore.

I ordered the Narvas, I will post my thoughts when I get them.

Mine are 3 years old at least. So I guess they were the good ones. I'll know not to bother with them in the future.. =(
