Question about used I30t transmission

i have just bought an I30t tranny today and i'm just double checking myself to make sure everything is there that the guy told me... but it's kinda difficult... the only identification tag i can see on the tranny is the VIN from the vehicle... JN1CA21D7VT825341... well after "searching" around here... the best thing i found was in the FAQ showing a link to courtesy (http://www.courtesyparts.com/specs/vin.html ) that explains the whole VIN... but nothing there told me about the transmission of the vehicle... can anyone tell me by using the VIN if this is in fact a tranny w/ VLSD

thanks in advance...

If your 10000% sure that tranny came from an I30t, then it should have a limited slip diff.

I think another test would be to spin one drive shaft, the opposite side should go in the reverse direction. - I hope thats right, somebody correct me if I'm wrong please....

Shouldn't the tranny have the correct code on it like RE4F04V
The last letter V denotes VLSD

The tag which indicates the tranny is on the fire wall of the car it came out of. A lot of good it does you when your looking at a tranny thats been removed from a car.

Thanks Nissan....

well that worked... so does that mean it's straight? wouldn't an open differential do that too?

Like already stated. If it came out of a "t" model for sure, I promise it has VSLD.

i didn't see the vehicle it came outta since the yard that was gettin it was pullin it off another yard that's in their system... so i don't know 100% but the guy did say it was off a 99 even tho the VIN says it's a 97... so i'm not sure... and i know if it's from a 99 or 98 it will definately have it if it's a 5 speed so i'm just double checkin myself...
