Weapon R CAI is a good one if you want to buy a less expensive one, it gives a great growl noise in the higher RPMs

hey man,
i have a brand new bomz cai that i'm selling. you can use it as either a hybrid setup (midpipe+filter) or the place racing style cold air setup. if you want to meet up, i'll be up in boston next weekend with some friends. check out my thread in the 4th generation classfieds.

Yes, injen would meet your requirements. It's probably the most expensive intake though.

BOMz is a midpipe application as well? I thought the BOMz couldn't do this. It's cheaper than a frankencar and if it's got midpipe abilities with a filter, then what the heck!

BOMZ is the best bang for the buck, CAI for less than $100 plus you can use it Hybrid. You do have to cut for the CAI but at least its really CAI not WAI like Injen and works just as well as any hybrid.

I installed a Place Racing CAI on my 97 and have since removed it the hole is virtually invisible unless you knew exactly where to look, so its not like you are chopping up your car like some people infer.
