With my mods and auto-tranny, could a beat this wanna be foreign Integra v-tech. It's lowered and maybe an intake, not sure. But come on, 4cyl to 6cyl 24v. That makes up for my weight, right? By the way, his is a stick. That's my only real downside. Gimme some feeback! Thanks guys!

P.S. ----> Just askin so I don't hafta put another post up. Personal experiences, which y-pipe is the best!! I need more power!!

Well first off, it's VTEC, no dash, no h.

And with your mod, him being a 5 speed... given the guy knows how to drive, it will be a close race. IF you beat him, it won't be far... IF he beats you, it won't be far either. All I know is 5speed GSR is capable of low 15's with very basic mods. Auto max, WITH y-pipe is about mid to low 15's.

BTW, just because it's got more cylnder doesn't mean it will make up for weight difference.

um...

I heard of the whole power breakin thing, but never done it. Isn't it where you press the brake in and give it some gas then release the brake? I dunno.. Still no one has a preference on y-pipes, eh?

ypipes

ok, i got the cattman while it was still on a discounted price, but...i would still go cattman. i heard the stillen pipe was of low quality. i also heard they just raised their prices. the cattman pipe, stainless steel, will probably run you 430-ish shipped to your door. i got mine in about 5 working days. cattman is a cool company.

oh, and depending on the mods of the gsr...you might only see stock exhaust but heh...should look out. theyre quick. i can take civic si's with my auto but i havnt gotten to try a gsr. ill spank gsr's when i get my 5 speed though, i hope.

I could hang w/ a gsr that had/ a AEM Cold air. It's close though, don't tap the limiter when you manually shift or' you'll see the 'DOHC VTEC' emblem when you're getting passed.

I raced a 5spd Vtech with exhaust, intake and headers and it really wasn't too close after third gear. Good thing we were racing on a short track or it would have look a lot worse. I have an auto (btw, that really doesn't make that huge of a difference).

Those cars are FUN and very fast.

The beauty of the Acura VTEC is how it pulls. Especially at speed.
Gear ratios are somewhat close to the 5 speed max.
But with the extended 8,0000RPM redline it keeps pulling and pulling. You have to be at the top of your game to win.
Hell - it's 4 cyl can beat alot of V8's and even if it doesn't win the 0 to 60 it's got one of the worlds best snick snick 5 speeds ever. Lots of fun. It'll be close - within.5 sec - Good luck

I raced a couple times against a friend of mine's GSR. I always won, but I wouldn't underestimate one if yours is auto. Anyway, GSRs are nice cars--I've driven my friend's GSR once and loved the way it shifts and handles.
