Throttlebody cleaning question

I just changed my fuel filter yesterday and didn't have the time nor cleaner to clean the throttle body so I didn't do it. However, I picked up a can last night and am about to try and clean it. But there is just one problem...What and how do I clean it? I know how to get to it so no need to go through that part, but what exactly am I cleaning in the thrttle body itself, and does it need to come off altogether to do it. I don't have a new gasket so I wasn wondering what could be done without taking it all the way off...Thanks

So Simple Your Dog Could Do It.

All you need to do is spray the cleaner, and wipe/scrub it down, wipe it out. Thats all.

That really is the jist of it. (Mr. Motorvate just happens to do a very thorough and excellent job in documentation.)

Thanks everyone, it was really was simple. Combined that with the new fuel filter, and my car now runs like new.

sorrie i'm askin' all these questions on this forum... but it seems like i can hit 2 birds with one stone...
