how to remove stock ebrake handle...quick answers please

hi,
i just got a nokya one from another member for real cheap and it looks great! now, to get the stock one off, how did you guys do it? it's on there pretty good. do you simply pull pull pull till it's off or is there a trick to it? i'm trying to do this right now so any quick help is appreciated. thanx

I heard that you just pull it straight off. I think you have to pull pretty hard though. Good luck.

that sucker sure is on there good. i don't want to pull so hard and scratch my dash if i eventually pull it off. maybe i'll just keep at it and eventually wear it, or myself, down till someone wins.

  • Use a hairdryer to thoroughly warm up the whole length of the of the handle;
  • Wrap the base of the handle with a cloth;
  • Use a flathead screwdriver and hammer to slowly knock off the handle
