Lighting problems

This is the first time I ran across a problem with my lights. I have no clue whats going on. Its when I turn on my head lights, my gauge cluster lights won't turn on and also my radio dial light cuts out, but when I turn off the head lights my radio dial light turns back on.
I have check all fuses that I know of, which includes the ones under the dash driver side..and the ones in the engine bay. I'm lost here on this.

Anyone ever ran across this problem before?

Your interrior dimmer switch is all the way in the off position.

Did you clean the interrior of your car today?

im sure this isnt the case, but my friend had bought a 94 mustang GT and when he would drive at night his lights would go off for no reason. we went like 21/5 hrs away from where i lived at the time and he forgot that his lights would cut off when goin down the road. we would jus be drivin down the road and his headlights would jus go out int he middle of the night, he would beat the **** outta his dash and they would come back on. he finally got it to where he hit it and got the interior lights to go out so the headlights would stay on so we could get home wihtout havin to ride ppls asses to see where he was goin. his prob was with some ECU in his dash tho so he jus replaced it.

I did clean the interior and thought by accident that I moved the switch, but that was the fist thing I checked before even tring to remove fuses. I also made sure that all my fuses were in tightly and not just loose. I'm just confused and out of ideas.
