injen intake filter

I just installed my injen this weekend. i was wondering if anyone has replaced the filter that is provided with a bigger k&n. it seems like something bigger might not fit, but if anyone has done it, let me know.
also, do i need to put a bypass valve with the injen? thanks for any help.

i dont have an injen but ive seen plenty of people replace the injen filter with k&ns and other various filters. ive seen them and they seem rather small to me. i would look on k&n website for a general 3" filter and see what you like. i would recommend the ru-2820. its one of the largest filters in a 3" and its relatively cheap. i have not heard of any incidences with water and injens. as long as you dont live in a place like seattle or drive through standing water then i wouldnt worry about it.

Don't know if it would even make a difference. Mine is fine with the filter that came with it.

I replaced the injen filter with a larger K&N today. It does feel smoother in response, but that maybe only in my head. regardless, i just wanted to have a real k&n attached instead of the dinky filter they give you, so i'm satisfied.

I thought all Injens came with a K&N? anywyas you dont need a bypass valve for that and if you did go into that deep of water you will have more things to worry about before you hydrolock

noisey CAI

I have a 1998 automatic SE. After installing the injen CAI there has been a loud noise coming from the CAI at all times...even idle.

Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions on how to resolve?

Thanks

You mean a Hiss, this is what happens when you put a aftermarket intake on your car.
