Hmmmmmm.... Will this wheel size fit?

In 5x100 and 5x4 1/2 with a 40mm offset

The guy swears they'll fit a max but I need to be sure before I go pick them up.

Regarding the topic of offset. Higher the number the further they stick out from beneath the fender or the further they're sunk beneath the fender?

Re: Hmmmmmm.... Will this wheel size fit?

I think the 5 x 4.5 will fit and with regards to the offset I think the higher the number, the more sunk they are. If I am wrong feel free to correct me.

5x 4 1/2 will fit - that is the bolt pattern for your car.

OEM offset is +40mm

Higher the #, the more "tucked in" to the wheelwell the wheel will appear. +38mm -> +40mm works well for most wheels on the Maxima. I have seen people go as far out as +35mm for a slightly wider stance, but it all depends on the wheel you're getting as to whether this will look right. I also wouldn't go over +40mm offset, personally.

I went w/ +40mm offset and I'm pleased with the look of my wheels. I'd go with either 38 or 40 if I were u. Just my .02 cents.

It's 7.5 for the width.

Only problem is now..I had the wheels on backorder for like 3 months and finally they arrived in 18's. I havent been able to pick them up for a week and the dumba.... managed to sell them in the mean time. They have 17's in stock and it will save me money (wheel wise and tire wise) which is a GOOD thing but I had my heart set on 18's and I'm afraid i'll just regret getting the 17's down the road.

Is there really that big of a difference between the two?

Some say yes, some say no - it's all personal preference, really.

I like my 17's for the more cost effective rubber, less likelihood of knocking one out of true on a pothole/roadhazard and for the reasonable compromise between ride comfort and handling.

(But if you decide you gotta go bling bling, not many around here would fault you for it!)

I say go 18's man. Heck, go 19's if you got the money as that is what I want to do
I personally regretted it when I got 17's cause it didn't seem very different from the stockers, the 18s are a better fit and the 19's are a premium fit.

In the end, get 18s! Big difference
