Front tread wear? Help.

I have 17" Kosei wheels with kumho rubber and I replaced the tires about 9000 miles ago and when they did the front left tire was worn down to the steel radial only on the inside edge of the tire, like the first inch in. I freaked because I didn't notice until they took it off and it was bad. Anyway had the dealer do a front alignment and obviously they balanced all 4. BUT, now 9000 miles later I can see that the inside of the tire is wearing unevenly just like before, any suggestions, remedies? BTW I have stock suspension. The left tire seems to be worse than the right. Thanks.

Have the alignment checked again by a good shop, it isn't right.

All this work was done by the dealer. Not saying that makes them right but........also, I have had problems finding a mechanic that will do an alignment on aftermarket wheels. Had 2 or 3 tell me they couldn't do it. Do you know about this? Anyone know?

I feel your pain because I'm having the same problem. Ive tried getting front end alignments from different places but I stil get that uneven wear on the inside edge. I think this might be a common Max problem, right?

Perhaps your aftermarket wheels have a slightly different offset than stock wheels - thus throwing the alignment out of whack.

If you have a different offset than stock and the stealership's using stock alignment settings, they're just making matters worse.

What is the "stock offset" of the wheels? I just got aftermarket wheels with a 42mm offset and want to make sure I don't cause unnecessary innner/outer wear to the tires.

yea im having the same problem. last place i took it to gave me the whole technical veiw of what he found and i didnt really have a clue what he was talkin bout. basically from what i got alignment was within spec and there was nothing he could adjust to correct the tire wear. he siad i might need the camber kit and that might help. But im ridin on stock suspension so i dunno why i should need the cmaber kit?? atleast im not the only one with these problems
