hesitation????????
hesitation????????
hey guys what would cause a hesitation, it does it at WOT or normal driving.
bad TPS/vacuum leak??? cause i has a whistling noise in idle but neva did it after i adjusted my idle 2 850/900 rpm.

be more specific with "hesitation"
do you mean the car had engine hiccups? like a hesitant acceleration repeatedly?
or when you stepped on it the car was just altogether slow to accelerate?

Can someone give reasons/fixes for each???
When I go WOT, it hangs there for a sec. like nothing's happening
then all of the sudden....NNNEEEEEOOOOWWWWWW...

i'll adjust the throttle cable and clean the throttle body, hopefully that can fix the problem.

Spark Plug / Acceleration Delay
Sounds like the spark plug or fuel system. How many miles do you have on your car? Have you had your fuel injection system cleaned? Also, I'd stick with the NGK Platinums instead of going copper.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong:
The delay from a rapid acceleration is due to the time the programmed ECU takes to communicate with the actuator. The actuator then has to build up the correct pressure to advance the throttle.
I think you can have the ECU reprogrammed to allow quicker response.

I'm going with the coppers for the higher spark/less $$$ combo.
And it gives me a project every 30k.
I'm pretty high mileage. 107k. When you say to have the fuel system
cleaned, do you mean just using injector cleaner in the tank. yes, i did recently.

. Oh well.
I'd make sure you have the right heat range spark plugs in. I had the same problem because I had BKR6EVX-11 (platinum)plugs in. I changed to the BKR5E-11 plugs (copper) and the problem was gone. The BKR5E-11
are the stock heat range that run a bit hotter than the BKR6EVX-11.

well i was having this naggin hesitation problem for over a year now....ive replaced and cleaned every sensor and valve the car has. The other day i took out my plugs which still looked good....cleaned them off with some brake cleaner and put them back in. Hesitation is now gone. I spent over 500 bucks in sensors to fix a problem that took 15 min to take care of so try checking your plugs first.
