Reseting ECU

hey all, this have most likely been asked before, but the search is down still.

I was wondering what benefits resetting the ecu will have after I changed the sparks, cleaned the throttle body. And what do i do to reset? Just disconnect the batt for 30min?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Reseting ECU

after changing the plugs and cleaning the tb, reseting the ECU won't do anything.

Resetting the ECU via the screw only clears error codes stored in memory. It has no other effect on the ECU and what it "knows" about your car.
