I had a run in with an older sohc neon today and figured it would be a joke. Well we went from 80-115 and he would gain about a car and a half each time. Turns out he has cams, intake, chip, headers, full exaust with stock muffler, and he had what looked to be a boost guage but he said he was NA with no nitrous. Im an auto with hybrid, y pipe, b pipe and UDP. He was stick of course. Just goes to show you not to mess with some cars even if they sound like there muffler fell off and theres no paint on them. I got owned

 

next time, race from a stop and see how it goes.

don't feel bad. I lost to a VERY hooked up Cavalier a while ago with my old 95 gxe auto. But now I'd rip him a new one with my 96 SE 5speed

 

neons have madd potential. As much if not more potential than the maxima. my friend has 3 fst as2 neons all 5sp. One is turbocharged for the dragway, 11's. One is NA (intake, full exhaust, full suspension) for autocross. And 3rd one is daily driver( intake, cams, full exhaust, UDP, Sts) running 14.3) I was suprised as hel1.

either way my car looked better and my girl looked better than the redneck he had sitting next to him with 2 teeth. I will enjoy my good looking g/f and 15 sec car anyday over his rusted out 14 second dodge. Plus it was an excuse for my girl to comfort me

seriously though, a well modded neon don't play, Hahn Racecraft make 4 different turbo kits for them that gives number in excess of 500hp No ****!
