heater heats up slow (?)

i think something is wrong with my heater on my '95 GLE, it just heats up a lot slower than it used to. maybe it's just me, but i think it used to heat up really quickly when i first got it. now, on a freezing night, i put the climate control to 85 degrees and i was freezing my *** off for 10 minutes waiting for it to work. what could be wrong, or how can i make it heat up quicker? thanks!!!!!!!!!

(freezing my *** off still, good ol' norcal!!!)

Replace your engine cooling system's thermostat. Follow the upper radiator hose, it will lead you to the thermostat housing. 15 minute job, should cost you about 15 bucks. Make sure you replace the gasket too.

Mine wont start blowin until the car warms up enough to be able to blow warm air. It gradually increases fan speed until it gets hot enough. I always thought it was to prevent it from blowin cold air before it warmed up which is something thats bad on a freezing morning.
i have a digital auto climate control on a 99SE if it matters.
