guys with Carbon fiber hoods...question for you

does your hood stay up? I'm on my second set of stong arm hood shocks and they barely hold my stock hood up. I was wondering since a cf hood is lighter does it stay up?

They don't come w/ hood supports, but you can always add them on. When I bought my hood from Rob(Tilleys99), he already added the hood supports, so yes, mine does stay up.

what model hood struts did you put on since the pressure amount is so different for the lighter hood?

Most people don't use hood struts. I can't imagine it workig very well, you'd have to drill out holes in the frame of the CF hood and you'd have to secure the bolts somehow. You can't just screw bolts right into a fiberglas framework. Most people use a hood prop.

I didn't do it myself. Rob(Tilleys99) did it.
