Harlan switch question.

Which wires connect to what when connecting to the MEVI. There is a white, green, black, and red wire. The white is separate so I'm guessing it goes to the tach. Correct me if I'm wrong. What about the others?

There is a group of three wires. Green - tach; black - ground; red - power.

There is a single wire. In my case, it was black, but apparently your's is white. Anyway, it is a switched ground meaning it should go to one of the terminals of the dawes device solenoid.

Here is how i wired mine up...note that i also use a relay.

Wires coming out of the Harlan go like this...

Red - To "85" on relay & Positive wire on cigarette lighter connector.
Black - To negative wire on cigarette lighter connector.
White - To "86" on relay
Green - To ECU wire for coil #1 OR wherever you want to pull your RPM source from.

The wiring on the relay goes like...

"85" - To the Positve Cig lighter wire
"86" - To the white HARLAN wire
output - Vacuum device
Ground - Chassis ground (in my case, bolt on shifter plate)

From the Vacuum device...

input from the relay
and then a fused line to the positive terminal on the battery.

here is a picture of some notes that i have...

that might help in deciphering what i just said.
