Soft top for 95-99 maxima

Anyone ever saw a soft top on a maxima ? Would it look nice? How much would it cost to get this job done? Which colour would it look nice on?

Yes...VERY expensive...it's a shame that didn't come as an option in the first place, but then again it IS supposed to be a "family car."

Although...if someone's got the money...it'd be an interesting thing to see. Kind of like the FR Max that people have talked about (only that's actually real, isn't it?)

Yep...rag top definitely wouldn't look right...but I think he meant convertible. Although, you could always try a hard-top that's removable...has anyone ever done that? (ex: Supra's)

Max Convertible

Ahhh! I actually found some Max convertible stuff.

http://www.nissanx.com/old/htdocs/motm3.html

Quite interesting...the first and so-far only convertible Max. It's a shame though, it's not even a 4th Gen.

He is talking about a fake soft top, not a convertible. To answer your question, it would look ghetto as Hell.

aside from the convertable photoshopped maxes made forever ago(if you can search, search for member Brendan and it was a while ago)i've seen pics of 2nd gens done.

but as far as ragtops, i've seen pics of 5th gens and it looked awful. i don't think it was just the color that was bad, i think just the soft top itself on the max. if someone can search, there were a few threads about this maybe about 7 months ago or so...basically, soft top on a max=

the dealership that i go to had a soft top altima. it looked absolutly horrible. it was silver with a white top, some old guy probably came in without his glasses and thought it was a caddy. forget the coonverable max, i wouldnt buy one anyways, but a COUPE MAXIMA would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet

i think a convertible 4 door is near impossible, this is due to the door cams and hom the doors would open, they would never conect to be able to form a seal without the pillars in between them

just my .02

I never knew cars had sexual orientations or that putting on some cloth made a car suddenly change it's non-existant sexual orientation.

you learn something new everyday.

As with most words, using it in different ways gives it a different meaning...
