Gauge Cluster

My 1997 Maxima Has a Non Digital odometer if i get rid of that cluster and put a cluster with a digital odomter would everything still work or will the digital odometer not work??

The odometer would not work. I believe the mileage is stored on the ECU, and I think they have different harnesses anyway.
