I painted mine Gunmetal. Pics are on my webpage, and the write up is on VQPower.com as well. Once the lens is back on, I don't think you'll be able to tell the diference.

Im thinking black is better but i looked for the wheel paint and they had white and gunmetal... would you think that would look better or just use some high heat black paint?
Thanks

I have the G2 CF Altezza rears and now want to do the Anniversary mod...

Has anyone done Carbon Fiber? I think it will look awesome together with rears!

Where can I get CF for this?

Thanks!

Rusty.

YOu could do it in look a-like carbon fiber. They sell these sheets of it which is sticky on the back and you use a heat gun to form it. Also gunmetal would be better than black. I saw this black max, and his did his eyebrows like a gunmetal dark dark bronzish kind of color. It was the tightest i have ever seen. Look at my link below to see my eyebrows i did in the carbon fiber stuff, that is what it looks like. I gotta do the AE headlight mods someime as well.

Nice!

Where can I get this fake CF?

Do you think the heat from the headlight will cause warping of the sticker with time? or should I just paint it?

Thanks,

Rusty.

you can get it off ebay. Just search for "carbon fiber sheet". here is an auction for it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB........sometimes you cna find it alot cheaper.

i dunno if it will survive the heat i think it would but do not take my word on it. I put it on the outside of the headlight which gets very hot. It does nto get as hot as the inside probely but still it gets hot. I have had it on there in the hot sun and lights and all for 6 months and it looks new. YOu might want to check with some other members and what they think. I do not want to be reponciable if it does not work out good, so use your own judgement. Ha, i do not want no one hatin me!

Can this be done on the I30 too? I'm not with the car right now so i cant check to see if I30s have that extra stuff around the sides of the reflector to paint black. Anyone with an I30 have this with pics??

yes it can be done on i30.. if your car is super black then i would go black.. if you had a lighter colored car id go gunmetal.. if you decide to do the clearance corner lenses too dont put them in oven for too ling, it will warp teh lense. i am a victim of that. good luck bro.
