Any1 have a picture of...?
Does anyone have a picture/link/whatever of a Stillen front lip on a 97-99 Max' with the stock SE rims.
I'm plannin' to put one on but I didn't know if it would look akward with the stock SE rims. By the way, I have H&R so the car is lower!!
Thanks

99SE-L on Eibachs:
I want to get the 97-99 stillen kit, and slap it on my car along with 2K+ SE rims. I'm lowered with GR2's and Eibachs. Will I scrape...say over bumps and up my driveway? (probably, but just wanted to make sure)

The secret is.... to approach drieways and inclines at an angle, the biggest angle you can manage. For example at a parking lot entrance, never drive "straight in", get about 75 degrees from "straight in" (close to parallel with the curb, and get the inside front tire up on the incline first, drive in at the angle and try to get the other outside front tire on the incline before you reach the other side of the driveway, then point your wheels all the way up the driveway and drive in, no scrapes at all.
Getting down a driveway is a little more tricky, especially if the ramp is limited in width. But line up your car all the way to one side of the driveway (even if it blocks the incoming traffic, who cares about them anyway
) and at about 5-8 feet from the end of the ramp, turn your wheels hard to the far side of the ramp and keep going, then when approaching the opposite side, turn hard the other direction down the ramp. The whole secret is getting that one tire on level or inclined ground first to push the front or rear end of your car up and over a dip. And that is accomplished by getting as sideways on the ramp over the dip or bump as possible. This technique can also get you over speed bumps and other bumps, "just get sideways"
as they sayIf this all didn't make sense, I know there was an old thread about this somewhere, if someone wants to search and add it. But also ff you know someone else who drives lowered cars it's a lot easier to see an example in real life than to listen to it being described.
I believe Steve (skimax) had a good example pic (and a funny one too), let me see if I can find it:
yeah thats a SICK picture.
id be scared to get back in the car
i know what he means - coming DOWN something with a narrow path can be VERY tricky or impossible to not scrape.
i was coming out of a parking garage which has a divider between the entrance and exit paths. there was only about a car's width to work with so i could only barely turn the car , so i scraped. and with experience driving lowered and with a kit this kind of thing really hurts.
but i bet that supra was worse
