I took some sand paper and starting polishing my engine. not that shiny but i think it looks a lot better. I ve only gone to 180 grit sandpaper so far, but will do more tomorrow. it is a good cheap alternative to chrome. My next plans are for the entire valve cover. thanks mayhemI30 for the ideapolished engine

sorry about the pic, but compare old vs new. clearly shows the difference. With the flash on i couldnt get the shine that I wanted brought out. i am not done either. im just showing you what ive started.

i started sanding with 400 grit...and its kind of shiney but not really...i think i should use lower grit to get out the black crap
