Should I make my door pillars my body color?

Hey I have my spring break this week so i'm looking to do some quick easy mods to my car. I checked the FAQ's and the door pillar to body color mod looked pretty easy, but then i clicked the link to a thread a couple of months ago and i saw a lot of people had problems with it? how easy is this and is it worth taking the risk of making my max look like crap if it doesnt work? thanks!

is the vinyl on your car fading now? if it is, take it off. just make sure you heat it up, otherwise it will be a HUGE pain in the butt. the tape will come off easily, but the adhessive will stick if it doesn't come off with the tape. and i tried everything to remove it. but the one side that was in the sun came off very clean. so use a hair dryer or something to heat it up well before pealing off.

yes do it, I think you have to be a total moron to screw this up. How can you take off tape the wrong way?? I did it just fine and it looks much nicer, especially since the original stuff was all faded out.

it can be "screwed up" by not getting the adhessive to come off with the tape. i guess you got lucky if you didn't have this problem, or maybe someone instructed you better than i was. but i did have some problems getting the adhessive off. but it does look much better once everything is done.

it can be screwed up if the tape happens to break on you and get a small piece stuck, which usually happens in the bottom corner, trust me ive done this several times, and oh ya i did the writeup

I just finished mine today. It looks much better with paint than faded black stickers. The sticky glue is a real pain to get off, I have about 3 blisters on my fingers to prove it.
