new member, EVAP question

Hi,

I'm new and I have a 97 Maxima black/gray cloth, 70k. Pretty nice car, I enjoy driving it a lot. I recently had my service engine soon light come on, and I checked the ECM codes. It gave me 0705 and 0903. It has something to do with the EVAP system. I tried doing a search but for some reason the forum won't let me so I figured I'd post it here. Thanks for the help!

This is a nice cheap way to resolve the EVAP problem. I didnt actually take the whole thing apart, I just sprayed in some WD-40 and worked the valve until it start moving freely.

dude! i just had the same exact code come up and i fixed it myself. bascilly its your EVAP canister vent control valve. Buy a new one from nissan. its about $71 bucks with tax its $77. The vavle is located in the rear left of the car. its screwed on the back side of the EVAP canister (the side pointing to the front of the car) which is a big black box on the rear left. The valve is mounted onto the canister with 2 10mm bolts with a thick hose going to it and a electrical plug connected into it on the top part.
Remove the hose and turn the blots counter clockwise to remove the bolts. Unplug the electrical plug and put the new one on. dont loose the O ring thats in the center of the valve and the canister.
blot it back on plug the hose and the electrical plug back in and reset the ECU and you are all done.
