Car stalls from high speed

Hi , I need help with a problem I started to have recently. When I am coming off the highway and make a full stop my rpm's drop really fast and my car stalled at the light. I also noticed pretty low rpm's by just standing at the light and in drive - about 400-500 rpms. I already cleaned my throttle so it can't be that. I also pulled the codes from the ECU and I only got a Front Left Heated O2 sensor. Could it be my battery or my alternator??? Let me no what you think. Thanks

if it was the batt or alty, the car would not restart. also when it stalled, the lights and other instruments would have went dim b4 your stall...How fast were you going at the time of stall?

I was just getting off the bridge and was going about 50 mph. My car stalled at about 10 mph and my steering wheel locked. I put the shifter into neutral and started it up right away. I think I'll go to the auto store and buy a charging system tester that checks the battery, alternator and charging system.

Call me crazy but maybe it's the front-left heated O2 sensor?

Your steering also didn't lock, the power steering just died. Get some muscle into it and it'll turn if you have to.....

i was having this problem not to long ago i fixed by doing several things.... change feul filter(check old one to see if its clogged).... then clean throttle body really good with TB cleaner and use a longer pipe cleaner like 3" or so and really clean it and that worked for me.... then i adjusted my idle with little screw...

hope that helps

Im sure its a vaccum leak,.. check all your vaccum lines for leaks and cracks...

most often its that vaccum line from your intake to the EGR.

That would most likely be the prob.
