Compression Test Results
Compression Test Results
Since I put a brand new starter and a new battery in my car this weekend I figured it was a good time to do a compression test before I start spraying. Results are are follows:
Cylinder (PSIs from 2 tests)
1 168, 168
2 172, 170
3 176, 170
4 170, 168
5 172, 180
6 172, 175
I tried to turn the engine over the same number of turns, but as you can see some tests may have gotten 1 more revolution of the engine. All in all the test was pretty easy, but I definitely need 1 step colder plugs before nitrous since I am already running hot.
The one concern I have was oil on my plugs. I found oil on the threads of the plugs, so there must be a leak from the valve cover or something. There wasn't too much oil, but does anyone know more about this? I was told that its relatively common, and as long as there aren't puddles it's not a huge issue (but at some point a new gasket set would solve the problem).
