RU-2800 Universal Rubber Filter

This is K&N 5" inner diameter, 6.5" length. Black Rubber end, not chrome. It fit perfectly in my '97, just off the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

Unless I'm missing something, the 3" is the upper mid pipe, after the sensor. The K&N should be a 5" adapter in front of the sensor. That website shows upper mid pipe, not the intake adapter itself.

i think they're talking about the diameter of the filter itself and not the opening. the opening is 3in the filter is 5in

i made the $15 intake that you're talking about, and the filter that fit was the one i mentioned above. check my homepage for pics of the intake/filter. i believe the guy that did that write-up already had the stillen filter/ velocity stack adapter. i had a generic filter/ maf adapter already. both of these adapters use different size filters.
