size of tire on 17x7" rim
i kno this may have been beaten to death, but i feel like i don't have a clear answer....... what size tire would you use on a 7" wide rim? is it alrite to put 235 on? or would something smaller be more appropriate?

I dont know the technical answer but I run 225/45 and it seems to work because I personally think 235 bulges just a little to much but they fit. just my 2cents

you should run 215/50/17 or 225/50/17. I believe those are the closest to oem diameter. 225/45 should be fine too, but your speedometer will be off a bit. 235 on 17x7 will fit and people have done it, but from what i researched when i was buying tires was that this probably isn't the best size for this width. if you have 7.5" or 8", 235 is recommended.
