Air temperature sensor plug

I cannot seem to locate the air temperature sensor plug on my 97 Maxima. I was told that it was right next to the Mass Air Flow unit but it was not there. I recently installed a K&N high flow air filter and I didn't see it then either. Now I have a mod chip to connect to the air temp. sensor, but I can't seem to find. Any help would be much appreciated.

Follow the intake from the front crossmember. As you get towards the low part in the back directly over the tranny, feel on the underside of the air box routing. It should be right down there.

That so called chip your about to install does nothing. It may even cause damage by providing false air temperature readings to your ECU. That chip sends a false cold air reading to your ECU which might make the ECU compensate and adjust the fuel to be burnt. (It's yet to be proven) However, the air is not cold, so it will creat either a rich or lean condition which is not good for the engine.

Ramsey, NJ eh'...My mom grew up in Mahwah and I still have a family all over Bergen County. I'll take your advice and just get rid of it. Thanks for the heads up.
