- I've noticed that many people here are referring to the drag strip as a "track." This is often confused by those who rightly consider a road course to be a "track." Last time I checked, a drag strip doesn't turn. This is what seperates to two.
- Yes, a drag strip is still an officially sanctioned and legal means of racing - which would qualify it for "track" status (in the broadest of meanings). But, it has long been accepted that both venues use different nicknames.
- Please, if you wish to use a shorter name to save time, call an official drag strip a "Strip" and a Road Course a "Track." This will alleviate the common mishaps and misunderstandings. Thank you.

Well, it's pretty clear what people are talking about when they say 60 foots, 14-15 second ets, trap speeds, etc.
