does anyone know what are the differences between the Stillen Hi-Flow Intake and a Universal bracket with K&N filter. I found that the universal bracket sell for 39.99 and the filter for 39.99. I just start to think about getting better performance to my 98 Maxima. Changing the stock intake seem to be the first step for beginner. Please help. If the Stillen intake is the way to go, do anyone know where to get it cheapest. The stillen website is very high. And if i choose the universal bracket, what size should i get,3" of 4"?

the filter stillen uses is a K&N filter if you just want an intake get "any" intake filter and then get a intake adapter 3" I got mine from lightningmotorsports.com for only $25.00,they are all the same some say some filters are larger thus more surface area for air flow but any one should do but don't get the foam ones they brake down over time and deteriorate and that is not good for your engine the foam will get sucked into the engine get them mesh...

I have a Ractive Superflow Cone Intake Filter

if you go 2 the K&N website......you will find out a lot about how the geometry of the filter plays a big role in performance....or so they say.....and the Stillen or JWT are designed for the Max.....There's a formula....like engine size(cu in) times maximum hp rpm.....something like...that.. go and check it out....
