I changed my air filter a few months ago and got this problem removing the metal clips that used to clip the top and the bottom part of the air box together. How do I remove this? I didn't think of posting this thread earlier but I just decided to ziptie them but now that I think about it, it looks a bit ghetto. Anybody know how to remove it? I want to keep the bottom part of the air box cause I think it helps getting air into the filter.

You have to put in a "lock" position (as if you are locking it with the top portion) and press down. It just takes some time and pressure to remove. You can always bend/straighten the tabs and remove it.
