Frankencar Intake Problem

Ok first Frankencar never sent me the sleeve to connect the pipe to the MAF. So I went to Home depot and baught an adapter to connect them and everything worked fine. Then frankencar sent me the adapter peice and I put that on. But now sometimes my car just dies, It seems like it chokes and it dies. Why is that?

Yeah, I agree... It sounds like a vaccuum problem. You may also want to make sure that one of the hoses is not being crimped after you hooked everything back up.

Later,

do you receive any codes?
also, check your MAFS wiring...

with your car running, give a GENTLE tug on the MAFS wiring and
see if your car dies on you...also, how's your fuel economy lately?

I just reset the ecu, the codes came back 5 5 which means nothings wrong. My MAFS is on tight, and my mpg is also good. Just sometimes my car revs up when i start it then the revs drop and it dies.
