Wrong Fuel filter and PCV Valve ?

I recently bought some parts from The Parts Bin.com. The air filter and brake pads were fine. The PCV valve look different from the one that was on the car. I was bigger and blue but still fit. If it is the wrong one, will it have a bad effect on the car?
Also the fuel filter was a Bosch #71650 F00E160056. It looks a little smaller than the one on the car. I did not change it yet. I need your expert opinion on wether it is the right one or not and if not, will it have an adverse effect on my performance?
I am not a mechanic. I'm just an Accountant who likes to (try to) do his own work on his car.

Thanks for your help
Jim

i have a 300zx fuel filter works great, i don't think it should matter too much as long as it has the accomodated fuel flow and it filters well. only if you have lots of boost and are running more fuel via a better pump and faster injectors, then you might have a problem.

It has no flow markings. Is it safe to assume that the smooth rouned side is the in part and the flat end with the seem is the out end?

Thanks again. I love you guys.
