More fun for iansw 5-speed conversion project

If things haven't gotten any more fun....another thing comes along and makes it even better. After figuring out the clutch lines, Ian and I go to bleed the clutch. Pretty simple straight forward and simple thing. So we start bleeding, and 20 minutes later...no dice we see some air coming out, but its not bleeding fluid, nor is there much pressure on the clutch pedal. Can someone clarify the bleeding process so we know we are doing this right. We've also check the lines, the master cylinder, and slave cylinder and there are no apparent leaks....so what else can cause this?

While we were doing this, the driver side axle also started to leak tranny oil. To add to that we can't get it into 3rd, but we can't move or run the car because the clutch bleeding isn't done and we still have to put things back in the car, like the S/C piping, battery, etc. This has just been one thing after another.

Tell me about it...we had one guys start disconnecting wiring harness, without really asking us which ones to disconnect. So we had to figure half that stuff out when trying to put that back together...

Thats why I only let people with experience help me with my car.... I have to pretty much trust someone in order to let them mess with my Maxima..... That comes down to 2 people who I would trust, other than myself, its my brother and my best freind...Ub=nless its someone from the .org that knows alot about the Maxima....

Yeah - thanks for that...

I think we weren't moving the pedal slowly enough...

Read my axle thread again..it's more detailed regarding today...

I now have oil leaking out of where my axle meets the tranny too, and still can't find 3rd gear.

Yay!
