Red Clear Tail Lights

I have a 96 Max and had seen a maxima with red clear tail lights. I have come to the point that they are hard to find. Is there a way to make them. Any info would help

not for the 96 max from your own tail lights. Unfortunately only 97-99 max's can be cleared out. You can get all clear tails and then paint them half red however I don't think they are manufactured anymore, so findin them would be the same as findng red clear tails.

for the price that you'd pay for the 96 tails, i would just get the 97-99 trunk, bumper, and tailights...

Wouldn't you need to change out the rear quarters too? But you're probably joking anyways, I'm just a bit slow...

Actually, I would suggest that anyone looking for red/clear tails for the 95,96 go to this page:
http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...embly&vaffid=0

I have not purchased them... though I am planning on it soon.

I could not tell you about the quality, color, or status of their inventory (if they are in fact in stock and ready to ship).

Later,
D

Yeah nopi does not sell them. You could always red out the amber on your tails. It tells how to do so in the faq and it looks much better than amber...

Here is a link for the how to in the FAQ

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....5&pagenumber=6

And here is a pic of them on Nadir_S's maxima

you can make them pretty easily one of two ways actually. First way: Get red transparent tape and apply, the instructions are at www.VQpower.com under 4th gen how to's or second: You can paint them with stain glass paint (red of Course)you can find this at http://members.cardomain.com/95maxofdvo

yes right now you have to buy the all clear and paint them red. it does suck but unfortunatley thats all you can do right now. I am trying to get custom tails made for the 4th gen 97-99 max right now and if they work out i will start to work on the 95-96 tails, it all depends on if my contact will be able to do it or not, he is looking at my car a week from friday. They will be custom red clears, not the ones that you currently see now but actually clear like the sm tails from the korean model maxima, so if all goes well for the 97-99 tails the 95-96 will be in the near future and they won't be painted either

Or you can do this..

Bought all clears from an org member for $75 ( ) and painted the bottom half red. If anyone has questions on how to paint the bottom red, PM or e-mail me and I'll be glad to help out.

You guys REALLY need to get tails like mine..

the actual look of the lights (i.e. the shape) are ugly on those korean Maxs, even the design of the rear i dont like. Looks to bubly, i like the edgier U.S. version better. Anyways, it would probably be expensive to get crystal-clear lens like that for the 4th gen...

we'll see how much they will cost, i meet with my contact next week, and even if he won't be able to make them i have 2 other companies willing to make them for me, yes the sm tails are more rounded but i will be taking that concept of the diamond clear and hopefully it will work out for all the 4th gens 95-96 and the 97-99 tails.

definately keep us updated (duh!), but i do have a question. Is it gonna be the WHOLE tailight, or just the outers?! Because if you go for the diamond on the outers, i think the innners will look cloudy in comparison...just a thought...

Barring David L once again producing his one of a kind red/clears, waiting on CM is the best bet. Vinyl tape, Testors Candy Apple red paint and the Nipon all clears just don't cut it. The all clears are starting to cost what the David Ls did - and then YOU have to TRY and paint them. CMs 97-99 red clears are the best match on the market. The 95/96s will be the same quality. I know, I was blown away six months ago when they were taken off the web site and failed to go on sale. I don't mind the wait though and I'll bank the money to buy them (once). Someone had painted (pink?) all clears in the classifieds because he coughed up the bucks and found a set of David Ls to buy. There will be a lot of Ebay deals on painted all clears once the CMs go on sale. Good things come to those that wait... Be Safe, Mark V.
