Leaking Sunroof
I replaced mysunroof glass with a new one after they broke into my car (through the sunroof). Ive had it for a year, and just recently, I have been leaking water through the panel with the overheadlight and sunroof buttons whenever it rains. Whats the best way to fix this? Anyone knwo why this is happening? I dont want it to mess up the wiring, its a lot of water, and since thepanel is like a cup, it keeps some water inside.

any hardware store. Just ask for windows sealant. It comes in a tube with a long tip and dries into a rubber white substance. Cut the tip. take a screw driver and push to bottom of the tube and inject the substance inside the lip where the roof of the car meets the sunroof tracks..go all around or if you know where the leak is..seal just that area..you will no what to seal..just observe the sunroof edges with the the sunroof cover open and actaul sunroof closed.

The sunroof does not seal to the car 100%. Some water normally comes through the roof and gets caught by the drain channel. There are 4 drain holes in the channel, one in each corner. If they are clogged, the water cannot escape and will come into your car. Clean the channel around the roof and make sure the drain tubes run free. You can use compressed air to blow through them or just squirt some water from your hose through them till they flow freely.

D1NOnly34, you are not alone. I had the same problem, driving down M-14 and water started to drip out of my map lamp and sunroof switch. I pop the switch off, it is swimming with water on the inside. Traced the leak, found that the water enters the passenger cabin through the bolts that secure the motor to the rail. Put some silicone on there.
Next, I tried to figure out why water was getting in the rail. Found that someone might have pushed down on my sunroof because the rear left corner edges(that tilts up farthest from the motor) were not aligned, there was a small gap and the water was dripping in to the rail where it is not supposed to be in.
Being lazy, I just tilt it up slightly, and it seals the gap.
