Towing my motorcycle, with an AT, and coolers?
I have a question for those of you that have an automatic transmission and tow stuff. My bike and trailer weigh about 600lbs. I was planning on driving it with the OD off in the normal D mode. Would it be possible to tow with the OD still on? It seems like it could but don't want to risk it in the long run. I ran in 4th gear on my Altima at 70 and it was fine, but never tired 5th gear. Also, is a tranny cooler something that I should seriously consider? For the money it seems like it's worth it. Thanks!!

The 4th Gen Max has a meager 1000lbs towing capacity. your 600lbs should be OK.
I'd say a tranny cooler is a good investment especially if you tow. Auto transmission repair is very costly. I'd also ensure your brakes are in good shape

I tow my 15' boat with no problems, i'm sure it weight about the same with the trailer, and i've done it on the highway with the ac on and barely felt a difference and i'm auto too.
