We are getting ready for a thunderstorm here in brooklyn and I went outside to close my sunroof. (it was in the full open position) I slid the glass until the motor stopped and it was fully closed. I got out of the car and the rubber surround torward the back of the roof seemed to be sagging about 2cm as compared to the front. I then got back into the car and put the roof into the tilt mode and then closed it- no more 2cm sagg. If I close it from a slide, the rear rubber does not become flush with the body, if close it from the tilt mode it does close flush with the body. there are no gaps between the rubber and the actual body though, is this normal? when i close the roof, am i supposed to slide close, then tilt up and then tilt down for the roof to close flush? Anybody?

It sounds as if the cables are about to snap. Mine was doing the same until it just stop working and it got stuck in the middle. Or you may just need to adjust the cables.

Lemme guess, the whole roof liner has to come off fro the adjustment to be done right?

-or the seal may just becoming unseated from the edge of the glass. maybe you need to silicone adhesive it in place or something?

Actually if you know how it works you can just loosen up the motor from the sunroof controls. Once is a lil bit lose you can move the lifters or whatever they are called, and just adjust the glass so hat it looks flush. then pop the motor back in place and bingo your sunroof has been adjusted. I had to do this with mine after I replaced the cables I notice it wasn't flush when close so the next day I did this and now is perfect.

There is no way I am about to embark on a job like that! I have the NSP extended warranty- I will have them deal with it. Besides, I may be wrong, but it just might be that the rubber itself is merely flexing to the position of the glass. There are no leaks or anything. I think I am going to leave it alone. I have another 35k on the warranty. I;m assuming the sunroof and the like would be covered by the extended warranty. Hmmmmmmm. lemme go look. yep- it is. I think i will wait till the thing breaks and have nissan fix it. I dont want to fix what aint broken.....yet. LOL Thanks guys
