Help! New noise comiing from Front Driver's side corner while driving
Hey guys, I've noticed this new noise that my car is making while driving. It is locallized to the Front driver side wheel/suspension area.
It sounds like a moderately loud click and only occurs when I do any of these three things:
1.) Hit the brakes and come to a full stop
2.) Start moving from a stop
3.) Turn right
It only occurs sometimes (not every time I perform any of three actions), but is definately associated with these three.
I took a look at the suspension and everything looked ok; I thought that it might be the upper strut bearing, but at a stop I can turn the wheel from lock to lock without any unusual noises.
Anybody got any ideas where I should start looking for this "suspension mouse" before I shell out the big bucks to have a mechanic look at it?

If you have a FSTB, it could be that.

The sound is a very distinct click and usually associated with the three things i listed. I think that it might be the spring isolators, but haven't had time to crawl under there and investerate. So far though it looks ok and the noise has not been a problem in the past (NB I just re-did my shocks in December, so if the spring isolators were a problem, i suppose they would have come up then).
How can I tell if it's the wheel bearing or not?

"Clicks" usually mean CV Joint.

Hey, thanks for you help guys. I'll actually get a chance to look at it this week (school is almost out thank God).
I noticed something else though. The click that I hear makes me think light switch. When I'm at a stop, it'll click once, but not again, even if I slow down a bit and then hammer the gas (think of the light switch being on).
When I am decelerating to a stop, i get a click when I brake hard, but if I reaccel a bit and then hit it hard again, no sound.
So I think that it may not be the CV or bearing since it's not a continuous sound. Where is Daniel B. Martin when I need him? lol
