I wanna get whiter lights for my max, and I know that the headlight bulbs are 9004's and fogs are H3's.

My question is which type of bulbs should I be looking for, for the ones next to the headlights (clearance lights?) and the outer bumper lights (not the turn signals)?

The clearance lights are 1157s. The outer bumper lights are 194s. Hope it helps.

Naw, turn signals are 1156, but you can use 1157's if ya want...I recommend E-bay bulbs, i got some in my car, i will take a pic of them tonite
