I think my car may have been wrecked, can someone hook me up with a carfax?

I was looking under the hood today of my 98 I30 while trying to get my corner lights off to clear them out, and I realized that some paint on the inside parts of both fenders was flaking off. The bolts that hold them on also look like they are fading, they didnt look like that a few months ago when I bought it but now they look like they have been turned. Im really worried about this now . Can anyone hook me up with a car fax report? Heres the

I think it would be worth it to spend the $14 on your own and then offer the service to the others??? Thanks.

Actually you can only do the unlimited reports option once a year of which I have used already, subsiquently I now have to pay $15 for each report. Somone on this message board must have the unlimited reports option going now. If you can help the vin is

I didnt know it had a salvage title, the car looked clean and didnt look painted. I'm a car guy, I knew I was getting a nice car and everything mechanical checked out. The car didnt feel like it had any paint lines or anything of that nature, but like I said I just noticed the paint chipping so that threw a red flag. Its a 98 I30 and had 67K when I bought it. I might take some legal action on this, dealers in VA must disclose titles like this. I was told everything was clean.

The title is clean, doesnt say anything about being salvaged. Its just like any other title i've gotten with a clean car. I dont think I signed anything of that nature as well

IF your stuck with it then go ahead!! Try to deal with the situation before maybe you could even get half of the car $$ back! maybe not that much but you know.. my friend has a rebuilt title taurus sho and it performs very well and looks like its never been in any crashes... As long as your car performs just how you want it to then dont worry about the past... :P

if a dealer fixed a salvage titled car then they are responsible to tell you it is salvaged.

if they purchased a rebuilt titled car which usually becomes a clean title once transfered to a different state, they are not liable. they can only go by the previous owners word.

good luck though, it's gonna be a struggle.

From: Bellevue, WA.
usually, even if the vehicle goes out the state ,the title status doesn t change. Some states (NY for example)requires to have the vehicle inspected before it could be registered in that state. If you got the car from a Nissan dealer, and the car is certified,it should not pass the certified inspection if the car was in a bad accident.
Some states have paperwork that specifies if the car was or was NOT in an accident. If you bought the car from a private person, you are dead meat.If you got it from a dealer, you should be in good shape. You should go up to the point where you canreturn the car. When you sing so much paperwork, many times people don t even know what they sign.If you we been told that everything is clean, and is otherwise ,you were bought the car in good faight.Don t settle too easy. You paid for a good car ,you should get a a good car. Good luck, cause you ll need it.

new york and the 907a salvage title is on the of the exceptions.

in most states once a car has salvage history and is inspected in that state. if the car is sold out of state the title will usually be a clear title in that state. meaning, no notation on the title of that state. however, the car of course will still have salvage history.

i deal with rebuildables and have gone through this.
