Called to order the Blitz Realize TT 4th gen Maxima exhaust but...
in actuality, there is none available for the Maxima.
I've seen the Blitz Realize TT cat-back exhaust system listed on a handful of websites with applications for 4th gen Maximas so I finally decided call a retailer today to order one. The retailer told me that they (the retailer) don't readily carry exhausts in stock, and that they would have to call Blitz directly to check on availability. So, I did myself a favor and called Blitz North America myself.
The Blitz rep informed me that there is no Blitz exhaust system available for the Maxima because their A32 exhaust system is actually for our Japanese counterpart, the Cefiro, and the piping is different. Apparently, the retailers see the A32 chassis code, automatically assume that it will fit the U.S. 4th gen Maximas, and list it on their websites as so.
Well, on a related topic, in my continuing quest to find a unique, high quality exhaust system for my car, I called JIC-Magic because I heard rumors that they would be coming out with a Maxima application. The rep told me that they had actually tested fitment a couple days ago but the piping that JIC Japan sent was off so they are awaiting the arrival of different piping. Bottomline: ETA of a JIC-Magic bolt-on exhaust system for U.S. Maximas - a "few" months, per the rep. We shall see...
