Anybody with a bad antenna reception after replacing their stock headunit

I replaced my factory Bose HU with a Kenwoood DPX 6020 in my 98 maxima and everything is fine but the antenna signal is lower than what it was when I had the factory HU in. If anybody could help that would be great.

You probably needed and used an ANTENNAE ADAPTOR, it has two ends... one is the primary antennae and the other is the defroster one. Usually the defroster one has a female end but not always.

Try the other one (primary antennae) and see if it is better.

no its normal... aftermarket head units will never be on par with stock decks on reception. This is across the board with all stock units and all aftermarket decks.
